Drop
The moment of maximum energy, when every element comes in.
Detailed explanation
The drop is the emotional peak of a track — the moment after the breakdown and build-up where every element (kick, bass, synths) comes in at once. In the club it is the moment the crowd has been waiting for: hands go up, maximum dance energy. For a DJ, timing the drop is everything — putting a peak track in at the right moment is crowd reading as a craft.
In practice
Everything was gone, and now it all comes back at once. The drop is where a room reacts without thinking — and therefore the place where you should fiddle least. A transition that lands in the middle of a drop takes its punch away. If you treat the new track's drop as the target and prepare everything before it cleanly, you have nothing left to do at the moment itself.
