Bring two beats together
Two decks play synthetic kicks: deck A holds 120 BPM, deck B starts audibly detuned. Pull the pitch fader until the galloping fades, then lay the hits on top of each other with the nudge keys — until two kicks become one. No hardware, no music files.
What you learn with it
What beatmatching IS before you practise it on gear: match the tempo, then the phase. You hear the difference between “almost the same speed” (galloping) and “locked” (a single hit) — exactly the ear DJing is about.
How to use the tool
Press start — deck A plays on the left, deck B on the right, audibly too fast or too slow
Pull the pitch fader until the galloping slows down and fades
The kicks are still offset: push deck B with earlier/later until they line up
Hold the lock for 8 beats — the display counts along
Press again: deck B is detuned anew, different every time
Listen to the rhythm of the DIFFERENCE, not the single hits: fast galloping means far off, slow galloping means almost there. When nothing sounds doubled any more, you have it.
