RCA cable (2× phono)
For the buildThe master output is an RCA socket. For active speakers with RCA inputs you need an RCA-to-RCA cable; if your speakers use jack or XLR, the other end has to match.

Frequently asked questions about this setup
- How does this differ from the beginner setup?
- Three things, and none of them is sound quality: larger jog wheels, a full channel strip with a proper EQ, and connections that let you cope with someone else's PA. Monitors come on top. The layout sits closer to what a club has — that is what the surcharge is for.
- Do I need this if I play in clubs?
- Not to play — the club supplies the gear. This setup is for practising on a layout close to what is there, so you are not hunting for controls at the moment it matters. Anyone who only ever plays on other people's equipment can get by with less, and mainly needs good headphones.
- Can I start small and upgrade later?
- Yes, and for most people that is the better route. Headphones and monitors stay with you for years — those are the parts where a good purchase pays off. The controller is the part you replace later, because only playing shows you what you are missing.
